In his life’s work, Martinus describes how every living being on earth is in a process of entanglement or development. Modern man has passed through thousands of human lives, through reincarnation, developing from life to life increasingly human qualities, knowledge and skills.

On Earth today, we see people at very different stages of development, with different moral capacities and understanding. The suffering we encounter in our many lives as unfinished human beings increases our compassion, until man is a pure being of love, who can do no harm to anyone and who loves all living things. Martinus has called the different types of people A to J people.

Cosmically, all lives are equally valuable, just as we can see that all the experiences that students in a school have are all equally important steps in their development. Similarly, we attend a school of life, in different classes. The overall goal of all living beings, according to Martinus, is “to experience life”. Where humanity is today, we see that people are on a scale between hate and love.
