A Research Academy for Cosmic Understanding
Vivotopia is a research academy founded upon the cosmology of Martinus – a cosmic worldview that illuminates life’s deepest questions. Here, we explore existential themes such as: What is life? What is the meaning of our earthly existence? What is the role of suffering, the nature of death, and the future destiny of humanity? Is the universe, at its core, loving?
Through a number of self-developed cosmic models, we seek to deepen the understanding of the human inner journey, our cosmic anatomy, and the structure of consciousness. Our vision is to contribute to a new Science of Life – a knowledge that helps us live in harmony with the universe’s loving consciousness.
The Vivotopia Kosmoseum holds a unique collection of artworks and objects reflecting two million years of human spiritual history, as well as an extensive visual archive with photographs from around the world. It also houses a reference library for those wishing to pursue deeper study.
Martinus Cosmology
Martinus – Intuitive Genius and Cosmic Author
Martinus (1890–1981) was a Danish author and intuitive genius who worked for more than 60 years. In 1921, he underwent a profound shift in consciousness – a cosmic initiation – which granted him insight into the deepest principles of existence. This experience became the foundation for a vast body of work in which he presented a cosmic worldview, unique in the history of humankind.
A central principle in Martinus’ work is that the universe is a living being – and at its core, absolutely loving. Love, understanding, and friendship with all living beings permeate his view of life. His cosmology is logically structured and addresses the modern human being, one who seeks spiritual understanding in harmony with reason and science.
Later in life, Martinus gave his work the title The Third Testament. Today, his legacy is preserved by the Martinus Institute in Copenhagen, which also offers education and research based on his work.
